    Our family-owned dental practice is based in Wrexham, North Wales. Previously Andrade Dental Practice, the clinic has been providing exceptional care for patients and their families since the 1950’s.

Toothopia was founded by Ellie (philosopher turned marketeer) and Miro (dentist/black sheep in a family of doctors). The Yakimovs’ mission was to create a friendly dental practice, where everyone can feel at home. On a deeper level, they were led by a shared experience of  frequent change, which helps them facilitate transformation in their patients.

Dentistry in itself is a practice that yields transformative results for patients. Since taking over the practice in June 2022, Ellie and Miro have been dedicated to redefining their patients’ relationship with the dentist. That’s why Toothopia operates on trust, provides comfort and encourages friendship. The end goal are experiences where trauma, anxiety and fear of the dentist are a thing of the past.

How do we do that?

• First and foremost, we care about your complete well-being. We give you our time, full attention and best effort, day after day and year upon year.
• Second, we discuss every step of your treatment in advance, to make sure that you understand every detail.
• Third, we provide care tailored to your individual needs, adding little personal touches to make you feel special during every appointment. From aromatherapy in the waiting room to a musical background of your choice during treatment (you will be asked, but please talk to us about your preferences anyway).

Drawing on his 15-year experience as a general dentist in Bulgaria and North Wales, Dr Yakimov knows that the relationship between patients and dentists can make a big difference to their long-term wellbeing.  His care extends not only to those he sees in the dental chair, but also to their family and loved ones. His main strength is his vast capacity to listen with patience and empathise with the humanity of his patients. Together with the Toothopia team, they aim to reassure and gently guide patients, so they can confidently look after their own and their family’s oral health.
